Case 13

(continued)

Answer:

Cysts on ultrasound present as round masses without enhancement.

This is BR2. Benign. Not all cases of cysts are large obvious round masses that have no enhancement. Some cases are like this, with scattered small round masses. If you can confidently state that there is no associated enhancement then these masses can be classified as cysts. Otherwise, additional imaging with mammography or ultrasound is important to further characterize the masses.

In this case, there are scattered round masses with no enhancement and it was unlikely that these were solid suspicious masses. However, ultrasound was performed for confirmation.
